For Key Stage 1
Listen to the story of Captain Jack an ageing Pirate who decides to go on one final adventure in search of treasure. This story contains bespoke poems and the use of mystery objects to capture the children’s imagination. The pupils can then go on a trail to complete Captain Jack’s treasure map with the use of rubber stamps for the children to find. For Early Years children they can make their very own treasure island, an activity using key geographical vocabulary.

For Key Stage 2
A presentation as Blackbeard telling his story. The children then go on a trail to complete Blackbeard’s treasure map. At each stop on the trail the children can read a story about one of History’s Privateers including Captain Kidd, Sir Walter Raleigh and Sir Francis Drake. The children can then play a bespoke game of Treasure Trumps based on the Privateers of the fifteenth, sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.

Testimonial

“The Pirate workshop was so exciting. The children were given the opportunity to listen to a pirate story read by Captain Jack himself. The experience was very realistic and exciting. They loved the treasure hunt around the school and enjoyed the sensory and creative activity of making a treasure island.
Thank you for providing a wonderful workshop. I will definitely be recommending you to other schools.”
